Troubleshooting

The electrical circuit breaker trips when I turn on the central unit
  1. Reset your circuit breaker and try again.
  2. Make sure there are no other faulty appliances connected to your circuit.
  3. If the problem persists, contact us at 05.61.74.87.56.

It could be a motor issue with your central unit. If you are still under warranty, we will initiate a return process. If not, we will find a solution to resolve your issue as best as possible.

The motor turns on and off

There can be several causes for this issue:

  • There is a loose connection in the switch hose: you need to replace the switch or, if necessary, the hose.
  • The motor turns on and off without touching the hose: the issue is with the motor. In this case, please call us at 05.61.74.87.56.
The central unit does not start or no longer starts

First, check if the power supply plug of the central unit is receiving power. Test it with another device such as a drill or lamp.

Next, check the circuit breaker or fuse of the central unit:

  • To do this, bridge the 24-volt command with a wire directly on the central unit, which should normally start the unit.
  • If it does not start, the problem may be with the motor or the electronic board. In this case, feel free to contact us to replace the faulty component.
The central unit turns on, but the switch does not stop the central unit
  • On the switch on/off nozzle, there is a guide that you need to align with the 2 small tabs on the inlet. Your switch should work.
  • If you rotate the nozzle a quarter turn, there is contact and the switch does not work.
  • If your nozzle is in the correct position and the switch does not work, rotate the nozzle a quarter turn to the right to see if the central unit starts normally.

In this case, the hose or the switch is defective. Please contact us at 05.61.74.87.56.

Tips for central vacuum systems

Are all products compatible with my central vacuum system?

Accessories :

All our hoses and accessories are standard and therefore compatible with our brands of central vacuum systems. In general, central vacuum manufacturers do not produce their own accessories and piping. Instead, they rely on specialists in the field who have standardized the components.

Here are the standard dimensions:

  • Piping: 2 inches or 50.8 mm
  • Inlet valve openings: Ø 37 mm
  • Accessory openings: Ø 32 mm interior diameter

Note: Electrolux is an exception to the rule!

The accessories from the Beam Alliance range by Electrolux have an oval shape and are therefore not compatible with other central vacuum systems.

Spare parts :

When it comes to motors, electronic cards, carbon brushes, filters, and bags, it is important to know the model of your central vacuum system in order to find the compatible product.

You can consult our buying guide to find the spare part that is compatible with your central vacuum system.

Who installs my central vacuum system?

It is entirely possible to install a central vacuum system yourself. Feel free to consult our tutorial “How to Install a Central Vacuum System Easily?” to assist you with the installation.

Please note that an installation manual is provided with your central unit.

Alternatively, you can also hire a local professional to carry out the installation for you.

Reminder on the installation of the suction inlets
  • Never power the suction inlets with 220 Volts. They are designed to be connected to low voltage for the safety of the occupants.
  • When connecting the inlets, never unscrew the connector screws all the way. In fact, under the screw, there is a small spring that maintains the contact. If you remove the screw completely, you will lose the spring or the contact.
Safety measures
  • Our central units are intended for regular residential use. They must not be used as construction site vacuums (plaster and cement). Failure to comply with this may result in voiding the warranty.
  • Unplug and switch off the power before performing any maintenance or intervention on the central unit.
  • Do not use the vacuum on wet surfaces.
  • Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
  • The central vacuum system is not a toy. Exercise caution when children are present. Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged. Do not pull on the cord and keep it away from heat sources.
  • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and any other body parts away from the suction opening.
  • Never vacuum objects that are burning or smoking (cigarettes, matches, hot ashes, etc.).
  • Do not vacuum liquids or flammable materials.
  • Connect the central unit to an electrical outlet with a proper ground connection. In the event of a fault, the grounding provides a path of lower resistance for electrical current and protects against electric shock.
  • The electrical installation must comply with the NF C15-100 standard.
  • Do not place or store anything on top of the appliance, as it may cause the motor to overheat.
Installation of branch connections

Always make sure to install the tees or wyes in the correct flow direction to avoid clogging your system.
