What is a central vacuum hose?
The hose is a key component of central vacuuming. It connects directly to the inlet valves that are pre-installed in your home and connected to the PVC piping system. The hoses have standardized dimensions, making them compatible with all central vacuum units available in the market.
What are the different types of hoses?
Standard hoses are the most common in the world of central vacuuming. Available in lengths ranging from 7 to 12 meters, you simply need to connect them to the inlets, vacuum, and then store them away. It is also possible to equip them with an on/off switch, a power control, or a radio control if you have opted for a non-wired central unit.
For added convenience, you can opt for a retractable hose that is directly stored in your PVC piping system. It’s practical as you no longer have to move and store your hose after each use.
The extendable hose (up to 9 meters!) is the ideal auxiliary hose for reaching difficult-to-access corners. It is perfect for use in a kitchen, bathroom, garage, or even a mobile home, for example.
The different accessories to use with your hose
At Atepac, you will find a wide range of accessories to complement your hose. The hose extension is available in various lengths and can be connected to the main hose to extend its reach when needed.
Another practical accessory is the hose cover. Available in different sizes, it slips over the hose and prevents friction on walls, wallpapers, doors, and other surfaces.
You can also explore our range of telescopic wands available in plastic, chrome-plated steel, or aluminum. With adjustable length, they offer easier handling for everyday use. Moreover, they allow access to every nook and cranny for thorough cleaning.
The wand separator is also very practical. It fits between the telescopic wand and the hose, allowing you to retrieve items accidentally vacuumed. It prevents them from entering and clogging the PVC piping.
A great addition to have at home is the hose holder. Mounted on the wall, it provides a convenient place to coil and store the hose properly, avoiding clutter in storage space.
